Why postpone your good resolutions? Rise and start this very instant and say, 'Now is the acceptable time, now is the day of salvation.' The time to achieve excellence is when things are going badly and you are in trouble. You must pass through fire and water before you can enter into the place of rest. You will only overcome your depravity if you discipline yourself severely. As long as we live in a human body, we are bound to know sin and live with great weariness and sorrow.
