Thomism

I am beginning a study of Saint Thomas Aquinas and the Thomistic tradition. I am drawn to the way his thought brings questions about God, reality, and human life into relation with one another. As a practising Catholic, my deepest hope for this study is to know God more fully.

I am following Aquinas 101 and have purchased a Latin–English edition of the complete Summa Theologiae, which I intend to read from the beginning. I am starting with the foundations, and writing here to think through what I learn.

These notes will bring together explanations in my own words, questions I am working through, and reflections on faith and prayer. I will return to them as my understanding develops. This is a notebook for my own study, with readers welcome.
